Recipe FAQs

What makes these cookies soft and chewy?

The butter and brown sugar blend creates moisture, while careful baking time ensures a tender center and golden edges.

Can I substitute nuts in the mix?

Yes, walnuts can be swapped for pecans or omitted entirely for a nut-free version.

How do I achieve the best chocolate distribution?

Folding in the chocolate chips gently after mixing the dough ensures even distribution without overmixing.

Is there a way to enhance the cookie flavor?

Adding a sprinkle of flaky sea salt on top before baking adds a gourmet touch and balances sweetness.

What cooling method is recommended for optimal texture?

Letting cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack helps them set without losing softness.

Why should I avoid overmixing the dough?

Overmixing develops gluten which can make the cookies tough, so mix until just combined for a tender crumb.
